We are proud to share that the OECD has selected iFightDepression as a best practice intervention in its latest report “Mental Health Promotion and Prevention: Best Practices in Public Health”.
iFightDepression is a digital self‑management programme, developed by the European Alliance Against Depression (EAAD) under the leadership of Prof. Ulrich Hegerl. In Estonia, dissemination of iFightDepression is carried out by the Estonian‑Swedish Mental Health and Suicidology Institute (ERSI) as an EAAD member.
Based on cognitive behavioural therapy, it helps people experiencing depression to better understand their condition and provides practical tools for everyday life.
Evidence‑based and free of charge, available in 16 languages – including Ukrainian to support displaced persons in Estonia.
The OECD highlights that depression and anxiety disorders place a significant burden on individuals and society. The report recommends expanding the availability of iFightDepression, raising awareness, and training professionals in its effective use. The program is pharma-independent.
