The main goal of EAAD-Best is to reduce the burden associated with depression and suicidal behaviour at the individual and societal level in Europe. This goal will be achieved by supporting the implementation of the EAAD 4-level intervention concept in target regions and countries, plus the national promotion of the iFightDepression® tool. In 4-level concept, intervention activities are simultaneously run at primary care and mental health care, general public, community facilitators and gatekeepers, high risk patients and their families. The multilingual iFightDepression® awareness website aims to promote awareness of depression and suicidal behaviour and the internationally implemented iFightDepression® tool is a guided, online-based self-management programme for people suffering from mild to moderate forms of depression.
